Set up a constitution writing committee |

This committee should comprise interested band students. |

Meet on a regular basis to ensure continuity and consistency throughout the writing process. |

Submit the Constitution to the proper University authorities for approval |

At UW-Eau Claire, the Student Senate was the governing
body responsible for approving the establishment of the NBA-Collegiate
Chapter. |

Make certain the constitution that is submitted for approval is
extremely polished. |

| III. |
Once the Constitution has been approved on your campus…RECRUIT,
RECRUIT, RECRUIT!!! |

Be sure to inform as many people as possible about the
new organization! |
| b. |
Make announcements in band rehearsals and distribute posters! |
| c. |
Have all interested students bring a friend to meetings! |

| IV. |
When the chapter is organized and ready to function, elect officers. |
| |
| a. |
Begin by opening nominations to all members. |
| b. |
The newly-elected officers should begin organizational work immediately. |

| V. |
Project ideas |
| |
| a. |
Help raise funds to support the band program at your university. |
| b. |
Organize social activities for your NBA-Collegiate Chapter. |
| c. |
Become involved in community and school band events |
| |
| i. |
Help with sectionals in the local and area schools |
| ii. |
Give private lessons/masterclasses |
| iii. |
Attend concerts |

Have guest speakers at your member meetings |

| VI. |
Make certain the organization meets the needs of its members. Solicit
suggestions on guest speakers and project ideas so the members feel excited
about participating and contributing to the chapter in a direct way. |
